2019 Western REGION HIGHLIGHTS |
BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA

Dear Wester Region Scouters,

On behalf of the Western Region, Boy Scouts of America, we are pleased to share our 2019 Highlights.

Thanks to the support of our 254,000+ dedicated volunteers in 53 Councils of the Western Region, we grew to serve over 605,151 youth. Our Scouts and their families come from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds but they all share a passion for Scouting. The region also had over 24,624 youth who attained the coveted Eagle Scout rank while working tirelessly to serve others.

Scouting faces some strong headwinds, but we firmly believe we are poised to meet the challenges ahead and grow our movement. Our organization continues to make strategic change to meet the needs of today’s family. The new Family Scouting and Scouts BSA programs are off to a great start serving over 25,000+ girls in our youth development programs.

The Western Region leadership team gratefully acknowledges the collective efforts of our many dedicated volunteers at the council, unit, area, regional and professional level who help deliver the promise of Scouting. Together, we look to the future with optimism and renewed energy as we write our next chapter in our movement.

Thank you for your service and dedication to the Boy Scouts
