Dear Central Region Scouters,

Dear Friends & Scouters, On behalf of the Central Region, Boy Scouts of America, we are pleased to share our 2019 highlights. This past year has been a challenging one for all of us throughout the Region. However, even during these challenging times, we have all kept our focus on what really matters –serving youth with the best program anywhere! The following highlights represent the many hours and efforts of Scouters from across the region:

  • 91% of units retained
  • Of the 64 councils, 3 achieved Gold, 28 Silver, and 24 Bronze
  • 10 of our councils had traditional and Exploring membership growth
  • More than 66% of our Scouts attended summer camp
  • 11,140 girls registered in the Cub Scout program
  • 567,685 merit badges earned
  • 2,863,167 hours of community service were provided

Assisting councils and improving their impact on communities continues to be the focus of our region and area committees. Through these efforts, we are changing lives and strengthening the communities we serve.Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Central Region Key Three.
